Menthol Herbal Muscle Salve
Homemade Salves | Handmade Vegan Muscle Rub | Pain Relief | Herbal Medicines
All-natural, healing salve made with organic oils. Apply to sore muscles, achy joints, bruises, sprains, and strains as needed. This fire and ice style salve brings quick pain relief with a high menthol content (13%), and oils infused with medicinal herbs reduce inflammation and promote healing blood flow.
Made with oils heat infused for over 12hrs with:
- Cayenne Pepper: a counterirritant that helps bring blood to area to promote healing
- Comfrey Leaves: dried from my own organic garden, comfrey reduces inflammation and is used topically for joint pain as well as healing bone fractures
- Arnica Flowers: reduces swelling and inflammation to decrease pain
- Calendula Flowers: has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that can help relieve injury and inflammation
I use as many organic ingredients as possible and grow many of my own herbs and flowers as additives to make all of my artisanal products with Mother Earth in mind. This salve skips all the petroleum products used in commercial muscle salves and replaces them with natural oils, butters, healing herbs, and essential oils.
As a circus performer (we hurt ourselves...a lot!), and someone with chronic pain, I've long been in pursuit of a natural alternative to help with pain management and healing. After many trials, I've finally landed on this blend. With oils infused with 4 anti-inflammatory/healing herbs and a blend of another 6 essential oils, this blend is good for the environment, great for the skin and EFFECTIVE for pain relief! It's so strong that if you have sensitive skin please test first because the menthol and camphor concentrations are very high.
